Frequently asked questions.
Common questions about how we scope, price, deliver and invoice. Anything not covered here, please ask on the call.
How are your engagements priced?
Every engagement is quoted individually, because scope, channels and volume differ significantly between clients. After the consultation you receive a written proposal setting out deliverables, timeline and a fixed fee, which you approve before any work starts. Media spend and third-party software licences are billed at cost and itemised separately on every invoice. All fees are quoted and invoiced in United States Dollars.
What are your payment terms?
Project engagements are typically invoiced across agreed milestones, with an opening invoice payable before work begins. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. Full terms are set out in our Terms of Service.
Can I cancel a retainer?
Yes. Retainers run month to month with a 30-day written notice period. Work already delivered or committed within the notice period remains payable. The full cancellation procedure, and the circumstances in which fees are refundable, are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Who owns the work you produce?
You do. On payment of the relevant invoice, ownership of the deliverables, source files, accounts and automations created for you transfers to your business. We hand them over on request at any point during or after the engagement.
Do you work with companies outside the United States?
Yes. Makers Unity LLC is registered in the State of Wyoming, USA, and works with clients internationally. We operate in English and French and schedule calls across time zones. Invoicing is in United States Dollars.
How do you handle our data and access credentials?
Access is requested at the minimum level required to perform the work, stored in a password manager, and revoked at the end of the engagement. We sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement on request, before any commercially sensitive information is shared. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
How quickly can you start?
Consultations are usually available within a few business days. Once a written scope is approved and the opening invoice is settled, most engagements begin within one to two weeks, depending on the discipline and how quickly we receive the access and assets required.
Do you sign non-disclosure agreements?
Yes, as a matter of routine. We can work to your NDA or provide a mutual agreement. Either way it is signed before commercially sensitive information, credentials or customer data are shared with us.
