1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to recognise your device, remember your preferences and understand how the site is being used. Similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels and tags — perform comparable functions, and references to “cookies” in this policy include them.
2. Cookies used on this website
| Category | Purpose | Can it be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Enable core functions such as page navigation, security, load balancing and, where applicable, maintaining a logged-in session. The site cannot function properly without them. | No — these do not require consent |
| Preference | Remember choices you make, such as language or previously dismissed notices, so you are not asked repeatedly. | Yes |
| Analytics | Help us understand which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and where they leave, so we can improve the site. This information is aggregated. | Yes |
| Marketing | Used where we run advertising campaigns, to measure the effectiveness of a campaign and to avoid showing the same advertisement repeatedly. | Yes |
Cookies set by us are first-party cookies. Cookies set by providers we use — for example an analytics or advertising platform — are third-party cookies and are also governed by that provider’s own privacy policy.
3. Your choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings. All major browsers let you view, delete and block cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of this or other websites from working correctly.
- Consent controls. Where required by law in your jurisdiction, non-essential cookies are set only after you have given consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
- Opting out of analytics. Analytics providers commonly publish their own opt-out mechanisms, which apply across every website using that provider.
- Do Not Track. There is currently no agreed industry standard for responding to Do Not Track browser signals, and this website does not respond to them differently.
Guidance for the most common browsers is published by their vendors: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge each provide cookie controls in their privacy settings.
4. How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period, or until you delete them, so that the site can recognise your device on a future visit. Retention periods vary by cookie and by provider, and typically range from the length of a session to 24 months.
5. Cookies and personal data
Some cookie data — for example an IP address or a unique device identifier — may constitute personal data under applicable law. Where that is the case, it is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which also explains your rights and how to exercise them.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
